Bees finish roadtrip with win

Your Bees concluded this road swing on a positive note last night in Clinton, topping the LumberKings, 6-4.

Third baseman Michael Thompson belted his seventh home run of the season, and catcher Matt Morizio hit his first homer of 2007.

Shortstop Chris McConnell and DH Jeff Bianchi each collected three hits, pacing the Bees’ 13-hit attack.

With the five-game losing streak behind them, the Bees are back at home tonight against Clinton. It’s The Sombrero Thirsty Thursday, also sponsored by Classic Hits KQ92. The 7 o’clock game is the start of a busy flurry here at The Hive — 22 home games the next 29 days.
