The Bees overcame a 4-0 deficit to defeat the Chiefs 6-5 last night. The win snaps the Bees’ seven-game losing streak, and it gives them their first home win against Peoria in nine tries, going back to 2005.
Brady Everett homered and doubled, raising his team-best average to .291. Kurt Mertins, whose .278 mark is second on the team, went 2-for-3 with a triple.
Ryan DiPietro, Aaron Hartsock, and Henry Barrera got the job done out of the bullpen. DiPietro (3-3) got the win, and Barrera notched his first save.
