Road winning streak ends at five

If you’ve been following your Bees the last week, you know they’ve enjoyed their best road trip of the season.

A week ago, it started with a 6-5, 10-inning loss in their first-ever game in Midland, Michigan. However, the Bees finished the series strong, edging the Great Lakes Loons each of the next three days, thanks to late-inning heroics from Felix Peralta, Matt Morizio, and Brady Everett.

The Bees rolled on to Lansing, where they topped the Lugnuts on Tuesday night and Wednesday afternoon. The winning streak finally made a halt last night, as the ‘Nuts stopped the Bees, 9-2. The loss knocked Burlington (15-11) out of its first-place tie with Peoria, which improved to 16-11 last night.

So your second-place Bees will try to finish this eight-game road trip on a winning note tonight. Gametime is 6:05 central time, and you can catch all of the action on the Bees Radio Network, KBUR 1490 AM and The Ticket 1360 AM.
