Bees continue winning ways on Royals Night

Donning the uniforms of their parent club, your Bees won their fourth-straight game on our first-ever Kansas City Royals Night.

They dug themselves out of an early 3-0 hole to defeat Dayton 7-3 last night for their eighth win in nine games.

Derrick Robinson, Jeff Bianchi, Luis Castillo, and Matt Morizio each got two hits in the Bees’ 13-hit attack. Bianchi homered and Robinson drove in a pair.

Everett Teaford went six innings, improving his record to 5-8. Angelo Morales continued to dominate, throwing three hitless innings, collecting his second save, and dropping his ERA to an eye-popping 0.79.

It was a great night in the stands, too. With almost 1,700 fans on hand, we gave out lots of great prizes from the Royals. We also presented three promotions inspired by the ones at Royals games at Kauffman Stadium: “You Pick the Song,” “The Baseball-Cap Shuffle,” and “The Condiment Race.” It was a fun night all around.
