Bees Score three in 8th in comeback win

The Bees came back to beat South Bend 3-2 Sunday afternoon to imrpove to 10-12 on the season.

The game was scoreless until South Bend put up two runs on Bees’ starting pitcher Eduardo Paulino. The Bees tied it up on Ryan Eigsti’s 2-run single in the 8th inning. A few batters later, Eigsti scored the winning run on a Antonio Jimenez single.

Paulino pitched 7 solid innings, allowing just the 2 runs on 5 hits, and striking out a pair. A recent addition to the Bees roster, Chris Chavez pitched 2 scoreless innings to earn his first victory of the season.

We’re at home tonight to welcome in the Cedar Rapids Kernels, the affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels for Dollar Monday. General admission tickets are just $2 for adults and $1 for seniors/students! The concession stand will be selling pizza, popcorn, hot dogs, and Pepsi products for just $1 as well! Hope to see you here!

We’ve got a bunch of big days coming up at The Hive in May so hopefully the weather turns warm and stays that way!
